Depending on where you are located most politicians give out awards or commendations if you simply request it. It’s generally an intern or secretary that approves it so it’s not like they check.

They will literally go and mail you a physical reward or you can pick it up from their office.

We request commendations for our Business Club to give to our speakers/guests and also to thank our professors. Student Executives at those clubs can theoretically all give themselves awards as well.

Most government entities have awards just google it. You can look at your mayor’s office, county office, or district/federal level.

You just need to search it in on google right with the city/district and “commendation” in quotes.
